Betfair Chase Festival Weekend

The weekend of Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th November 2012 will see one of the most important meetings in the jump racing calendar -  'The Betfair Chase Festival Weekend' at Haydock Park Racecourse.

In the space of just seven years, the Betfair Chase has established itself as one of the highlights of the jump racing calendar. The three-mile race represents the first real test of the season for any horse with aspirations of joining the chasing elite.

Alongside the Cheltenham Gold Cup, King George VI Chase and the totesport Bowl, it is one of only four Grade One staying chases in Britain.

2011 saw some of the most memorable scenes in Haydock Park's history as 'Kauto Star', one of the greatest racehorses of the last half century, proved himself the ultimate comeback king, beating his younger contenders and taking the Betfair Chase crown for the 4th time.
