INDIE folk band Noah & The Whale have been revealed as the artists that will play at the first of Haydock Park’s three spring and summer music nights in 2012.
The band that has recently returned from a smash-hit United States tour will be at the racecourse on the evening of Saturday 28th April.
They follow in the footsteps of other top acts like Simply Red, the Scissor Sisters, JLS and Sir Tom Jones who have graced the racecourse in the last two years with audiences of well over 10,000 people on each occasion.
Noah & The Whale’s concert will follow a full programme of horse racing – and tickets to enjoy the sport and hear one of the most popular bands around are now available for purchase from the racecourse and are expected to sell quickly.

IT’S Madness . . . yes Haydock Park is turning itself into a House of Fun later this year.
The iconic 2 tone pop band has been revealed as the artists who will perform at the racecourse’s second music night of 2012.
Frontman Suggs and his fellow band mates Chas Smash, Barzo, Chrissy Boy, Thommo and Woody will be at Haydock Park on Friday evening 6 July when the racecourse will reverberate to pop classics such as One Step Beyond, Baggy Trousers and It Must Be Love.
Thirty years on from their formation, the band is as popular as ever with their legions of followers. They performed what will be their tenth studio album at the House of Fun Weekender in Somerset in November.

STEPS - Saturday (eve) 21st July:
Comeback popgroup STEPS will be performing LIVE on stage after a fantastic evening of first-class flat racing.
This year not only marks the 10th year since their infamous split, but also celebrates the reunion and announcement of a UK arena tour of pop phenomenon Steps. The band who sung their way to success in the '90s soon became a household name as their dance routines & catchy lyrics captured the hearts of fans all around the world.
In 2001 the Group decided to part ways, however ten years later, they have reunited in 2011 and the love for Steps is still as big as ever. Their 4 part Sky Documentary “Steps Reunion” has had the highest viewing figures of any Sky show this year. Their Ultimate Collection flew straight to number one in the official album charts and the tickets to their National Tour sold over 80000 before they even went on sale.
